Hey guys
I want us to have an honest conversation. The world is filled with so many activities you could easily think you werenât doing well in life.
The world is busy with nothing in particular, everyone seems so enveloped in their own thoughts and decisions and we put up fake smiles and achievements. Everyone puts up the best on social media, who sees the hard times? Only a few Privileged ones.
The devil has now capitalized on this, he makes your achievements look like nothing and make you feel like a failure. It doesnât help that the mind easily craves negativity and builds on that.
The holiday season is filled with happiness and often times unwarranted competition. This affects the mental health and well being of others.
You donât need to be your best because everyone else seems to be doing their best and you seem to be lagging behind. Youâre allowed to move at your own pace. Youâre allowed to look back at your mistakes and wish you could change them but youâre not allowed to dwell on them.
This festive season shouldnât be a season where you allow yourself to be defeated by the negative thoughts. You shouldnât allow the devil have the final say. The main focus of the devil is to end life.
John 10:10
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till itoverflows).
Psalms 46:1-3
Psalm 46
To the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah, set to treble voices. A song.
GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas,
Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
The reason for the season is christ and He came for those who are lost, the failures, the needy.
The best thing about Christ, if you ask me is the fact that you donât have to do anything to impress him. You canât actually show him anything or do anything impressive that he doesnât know about. He knows you in and out. Your darkest secrets and your shame and is still madly in love with you. Isnât that just amazing?
Just a little tip for the festive season.
Be content, put your hope in God, count the little blessings and keep your head high.
Have a merry Christmas guys and remember Christ is the reason for the season!
